๐ How This App Works
- ๐
Live game schedule โ today's MLB matchups are pulled from the MLB Stats API each morning at 6 AM PT and cached for fast page loads
- ๐ค Per-roster player stats โ for each game, the active roster is fetched and individual game logs are retrieved for every batter and pitcher on both teams
- ๐ Three stat windows โ the 7 / 10 / 21 buttons on the game detail page switch between windows. The label refers to games played, not calendar days, so streaks and off days don't distort the numbers
- ๐งข Batters โ shows AVG, OBP, SLG, HR, RBI, Hits, AB, and K across the last 7, 10, or 21 games where the player had at least one at-bat. Sorted by at-bats so the most active players appear first
- ๐ฏ Pitchers โ shows ERA, WHIP, Games Started, IP, Saves, H, R, K, and BB across the last 2, 3, or 4 outings where the pitcher recorded at least one inning. Rest days and IL stints are excluded so the window reflects real appearances
- ๐ Team comparison โ rolls up individual stats into a side-by-side summary showing Team AVG, OBP, SLG, HR, Avg Hits/game, and Avg K/game for both clubs
- ๐ข๐ด Color coding โ green highlights strong performance, red flags weak performance, based on fixed MLB benchmarks (AVG above .265 = green, below .240 = red ยท ERA below 3.00 = green, above 5.00 = red)
- โญ Favorites โ pin teams to the top of this page for quick access across visits
๐ก Early in the season some stats may show zeros โ this is normal until enough games have been played to fill each rolling window.
